Varanasi, Aug 26 (UNI) The inimitable Railway minister Lalu Prasad this evening offered prayers at the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple here and on his way out from the temple he whispered into the ears of the 'Nandi' idol for political stability in the country.

Accompanied by better half and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and elder son Tej Pratap Yadav among others, Mr Prasad offered prayers at the temple and presented Rs 10,000 in cash to the temple priest, temple sources said.

Later on way out of the temple, Mr Prasad spotted the idol of Lord Shiv's mount 'Nandi' and stopped near it.

He then whispered something in the idol's ears and left the temple.

When asked what he whispered into the idol's ears, Mr Prasad said ''I prayed bless your master's devotee by ushering political stability in the country as well as pave the passage for the prosperous future of my family.'' ''Maine Nandi devta se desh mein rajnitik sthirta aur apne parivar ka utkarsh manga,'' said Mr Prasad.
