3 soldiers injured, war-like stores recovered in J&K
Srinagar, Aug 26 (UNI) Three soldiers were injured while security forces recovered war-like stores, including RDX, in Jammu and Kashmir overnight.
A police spokesman said militants hurled hand grenade towards security forces bunker at main town Kupwara causing injures to two soldiers.
However, a Defence Ministry spokesman said three soldiers were injured in the blast.
The injured were hospitalised.
The sources said troops of 29 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint operation at Durhom in north Kashmir district of Baramula following a tip-off about a militant hideout.
After a long search, the troops finally unearthed an underground hideout.
The arms and ammunition recovered from the hideout included-20 UBGL grenade, three mortar bombs, one RPG grenades. However, no one was arrested.
A police spokesman said security forces recovered arms and ammunition including 20 AK rounds, about one kg RDX, four maganines, one wireless set and one binocular from another war-like store at Sawjlan area in Poonch district.
