Pseudo-doctor from Bangladesh arrested in Bengal

Basirhat, Aug 25 (UNI) Police arrested a young Bangladeshi national posing himself as a doctor for years under Swarupnagar police station in North 24 Parganas.

According to police, the youth pretending to be Khalifatullah, lived in the house of a local Amjad Sardar.

Some suspected writings in Urdu language along with fake Indian ration card, other certificates, some maps and a diary were seized from him.

According to police, the accused came to India in 1999 and also visited Kashmir.

Police as well as intelligence officials started investigation.

Superintendent of Police, North 24 Parganas, said the youth had been interrogated though his credential as terrorist was not yet established.

Possiblity of his link with any of the terrorist outfits cannot be ruled out, Mr Sarkar said.
