She is keen to build a small bungalow on the four bigha plot along with staff quarters in Himachali architecture suitable for the hill state, officer sources told UNI.
The picturesque site selected by Ms Priyanka is near Retreat, where the Rashtrapati Niwas is located in the valley below Kalyani helipad, 11 Km from the town.

Ms Priyanka, keen to have a 'retreat' of her own near the popular tourist town, had made a few visits to Shimla with her husband, Robert Vadra and their two children in the last two years to recce for the right location.
She had seen some places in Mashobra and Charabbra on the outskirts of the town and finally settled for the plot near the 'Retreat', which is owned by some 'private party', sources said.
