Congress leader urges TDP, Left to stop mud-slinging at govt

Vijayawada, Aug 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress OBC Cell Chairman C Chittaranjan Das today urged the Opposition TDP and Left parties to stop mud-slinging at the state government.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the state government had taken up various welfare and development projects in the state.

''The TDP has no right to criticise the present state government as it totally failed to implement irrigation projects during its tenure,'' he said.

Mr Chandrababu Naidu was making unwarranted comments that the government had failed to construct houses for the poor, he alleged.

He said the present Congress regime had provided free power to the farmers and waived loan arrears to the tune of Rs 12,000 crore.
