Boost to agriculture will reduce naxalism, corruption:Soren
Dumka, Aug 25 (UNI) Former Coal Minister Sibu Soren, who was set free from Dumka Central jail today, said naxal activities and corruption affecting Jharkhand's growth would be reduced remarkably once the government gave maximum boost to agricultural sectopr.
Immediately after his release from jail, Mr Soren rushed to his residence at Khijuria where jhe addressed a press conference. He stressed the need of giving more fund to the irrigation sector when he was asked to find a remedy to surging naxalite activities in the state.
''Give funds to agriculture and see how the rural people, now poverty-stricken and frustrted, add to the state's economic growth,'' the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha president said.
He felt that with it the level of corruption would also go down drastically in the state.
