104th Sree Narayana Jayanthi Boat Race on Aug 28

Kottayam, Aug 25 (UNI) The 104th Sree Narayana Jayanthi Boat Race will be held at Kumarakom here on August 28.

Opposition leader Oommen Chandy MLA would inaugurate the race to be held in commemoration of the Kumarakom visit of Sree Narayana Guru in 1903. People's representatives and other prominent persons would participate, Sree Narayana Jayanthi Public boat race club President P G Padmanabhan and General Secretary A K Jayaprakash told newspersons here today.

State Forest Minister Binoy Viswam would distribute the prizes at a function to be held at the Sree Kumaramangalam temple maidan, UNI
