Kerala HC orders police security for entrance exam
Kochi, Aug 24 (UNI) Kerala high court today directed the state government to provide adequate police protection for the entrance test for the B.Sc. Nursing course in private self-financing nursing colleges.
A division bench comprising Justice K Balakrishnan Nair and Justice Harun-Ul-Rasheed also directed that the entrance exam on September 2, 2007, be conducted under the supervision of Justice P.A. Mohammed fee regulatory committee.
The court gave these directions on a petition filed by the private nursing colleges managments association, seeking police protection for conducting the entrance test for the B.Sc. nursing course.
The petitioner expressed apprehensions about ''obstruction from a state-supported organisation''.
The court said the state should provide adequate and meaningful police protection for the entrance examination conducted by the petitioner.
