JK Vigilance produce challan against police, social welfare officers

Srinagar, Aug 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation (VO) today produced a challan in the Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption Kashmir against a police official and a social welfare officer.

A VO said the challan was produced against Ghulam Mohammad Khan, Head Constable, who was caught red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 500 from one Siraj Uddin for releasing registeration certificate of his scooter in January this year.

The organisation also produced challan against Ms Mehbooba Hakeem, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Tangmarg Baramulla for misappropriation of Rs 30,88,297/- allocated under old age pension schemes.
