Hyderabad, Aug 24 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Assembly Oomen Chandy today alleged that the land received by farmers under land reforms in his State were being grabbed by others.

Talking to newspersons here after meeting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at the Secretariat, he alleged that the CPI(M)-led Government in Kerala was not taking any action against land grabbers even after the Congress leaders urged it to recover the land from grabbers.

Accusing the CPI(M) of ''saying something and doing something'' since it came to power in Kerala, Mr Chandy said the Left party was adopting different stance in different States on land issues.

''The CPI(M) has justified the police firing at Nandigram and the same party has blamed the Andhra Pradesh Government on Mudigonda police firing, in which seven people were killed during land struggle recently,'' he added.

Praising Dr Reddy for rehabilitating the families of victims and taking action against the officials involved in the Mudigonda firing, the Congress leader claimed that no compensation was paid to the victims of Nandigram incident.
