End LPG shortage in TN in view of Ramzan: Rashid

New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) Mr J M Aaron Rashid (Cong) today sought the Centre's intervention to ensure easy availability of LPG and rice for Muslims in Tamil Nadu for the coming Ramzan season.

LPG was in short supply in the state, while there was need to raise the quantity of rice sold through the public distribution system, he said, raising the issue in the Lok Sabha during zero hour.

During the 'roza' period, mosques prepared porridge for distribution and this was disrupted due to non-availability of LPG, he said.
