DaimlerChrysler presents premium Mercedes-Benz CL-Class car

Chandigarh, Aug 24 (UNI) The premium car maker Daimler Chrysler India today presented its Mercedes Benz CL Class for the Indian market at the brand showcase here today.

The managing director and Chief Executive Officer of the company's operation in India, Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, unvelied the car, which is presently being imported, at a press conference here. "if the demand from the customers increases, we can think over to manufacture it in India ",he said.

"The new CL-Class is yet another masterpiece from Mercedes Benz.

This luxury coupe points the way into the future with its innovative technology, its design, new aesthetic appearance and a new Mercedes style," said Dr. Aulbur.

The car, available in eight and 12 cylinders category, will cost around Rs 1.10 crore and Rs 1.50 crore respectively in the market, he added .

The brand showcase also featured the complete range of its cars in India which included debutante CL Class, the S 320 CDI as well as the locally built S Class, E Class, the C Class and the completely built imported range the SLK-Class, CLS Class and the M-class.

He said with well entrenched sales service network and strong traction with local markets the Company registered 11 per cent growth in the last fiscal and added the momentum continued this year also and in the first seven months, the sales grew by 22 per cent.

Dr Aulbur said the company has recently announced a retail finance scheme 'Star Choice' for Mercedes Benz cars in collaboration with ICICI Bank for the facility of buyers.
