Canon India aims at Rs 1,500cr turnover by 2010
New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) Canon India will increase its turnover four-fold to Rs 1,500 crore by 2010 through a massive expansion of its retail network, opening franchise stores and creating a brand appeal.
''To maintain market leadership, we are stressing hard on inking new partnerships, organisational and brand building,'' company's Vice-President Alok Bharadwaj told UNI.
The company is focussing on expanding its retail chain partnerships, Mr Bharadwaj said, adding that local chains is a priority area to work upon.
''Nearly 50 per cent of our business will come from these retail chains by 2010. Last year they contributed five per cent in our overall revenues while this year it is likely to exceed to 10 per cent,'' he said.
Canon's products available in 20 stores through 13 national chains such as Croma, Reliance and Future Group's E-Zone will go up to 100 by this year-end.
