2 girls gang raped, 5 accused behind bars

Gorakhpur, Aug 24 (UNI) Two girls were allegedly gang raped by five youth in Sahjanwa area of the district late last night, police said today.

The victims, residents of Pipra village, had stayed overnight at their maternal uncle's rented accomodation.

However, the landlord's son Krishna Mohan and his friends barged into the house in the night and locked the girls' maternal uncle and his friend in a room.

Later, the accused gang raped the girls, police added.

Police was immediately informed and the five accused were arrested from the spot.

Those arrested were identified as Krishna Mohan, Ram Prakash, Uday Vishwakarma, Mangru and Rinku.

They had been sent to jail.

Medical examination on the girls had also been conducted.
