'Unfit' Punjab cops could be shifted to desk work

Patiala, Aug 23 (UNI) Punjab police personnel will be examined medically and those found unfit by the Medical Board could be recommended to be moved to office work, Director General of police NPS Aulakh said here today.

The DG, while addressing a media conference here today, said that this decision was taken to reduced stress level of cops in Punjab.

The SSPs have been told to prepare a list of those cops who were under the stress level and get them thoroughly examined, he said.

The cops who were suffering from diabetes and hypertensions will be treated accordingly, said Mr Aulakh.

The DGP said Yoga classes had already been introduced in police department and some police instructors had been imparted yoga training to spread it among all the police personnel.
