"Transfer of Power by Oct 3 inevitable": Acharya
Hubli, Aug 23 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Medical Education V S Acharya today said transfer of power to BJP by October 3 by Janata Dal (Secular), as agreed was inevitable.
Talking to newspersons' here, he said ''handing over power to someone would be a painful affair and that's why such statements'' Mr Acharya declined to reply when his attention was drawn to a statement by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in Gulbarga District yesterday that 'JD(S) has lost its secular image to some extent after joining hands with the BJP'.
''You better ask him'', he quipped.
To another question on transfer of doctors from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here, the Minister said nobody was transferred from KIMS and all the doctors sent on deputation would be back by September 30.
Earlier, in Dharwad, the minister laid the foundation stone for Genes Information Center to be set up at a cost of Rs Three crore and called upon the scientists to join hands with the centre for development of new genes.
