Respect human right, security officers to soldiers

Jammu, Aug 23 (UNI) The security officers engaged in counter insurgency operations in Jammu and Kashmir asked soldiers to respect human right during operations.

The officers were speaking at a seminar on 'Protection of Human Rights in present day context' organised by All India Human Rights Association at Ramsoo in Ramban district last evening.

S P Ramsoo Benam Tosh highlighted the importance of human rights protection under all circumstances especially while dealing with militancy and also in routine policy work.

He further emphasized the need to create awareness among the masses especially in rural areas about violation of personal rights.

Another officer M Hussain Sohail also urged security personnel to respect human rights during insurgency operation.

Many other speakers discussed the violations especially committed during militancy and suggested the way out of these violations.
