Rajat Tokas collapses during shooting in Vadodara

Vadodara, Aug 23 (UNI) Young television star Rajat Tokas, who plays the lead role in mega TV serial ''Prithviraj Chauhan'', was admitted to a private hospital here after he collapsed during shooting of the serial yesterday on the outskirts of the city.

The star reportedly fainted on the set while doing a fighting sequence for the serial in the Sagar Film city run by veteran producer-director Subhas Sagar.

Dr Arvind Iyer, who is treating the star, told UNI that Rajat was brought to the hospital in a semi-conscious state by his co-stars after he had a fall during the shooting due to weakness and exhaustion.

''Rajat has suffered no brain damage or external injury and his condition is now stable. His blood test too was found to be satisfactory,'' Dr Iyer said, adding that he was likely to be discharged from the hospital tomorrow.

Sagar Film and TV Academy director Subhas Sagar, his director-brother Moti Sagar and several other film personalities visited the hospital.

According to the academy sources, the shooting of the serial was likely to be affected as doctors had advised him complete rest at least for a week.
