NFIA favours Indo-US nuclear deal
Mumbai, Aug 23 (UNI) National Federation of Indo-American (NFIA) Chairman C K Patel today favoured the Indo-US nuclear deal, stating that it would help in solving the power crunch of the country.
Mr Patel, who was on a visit to India along with NFIA Vice Chairman Anjali Sachdev to invite Maharashtra Chief Minister and other dignitaries for the federation's conference at Chicago in July next year said, ''NFIA also helped in pushing this deal.'' NFIA was the largest body of Indo-Americans. While the non-resident Chinese did more direct investment in China, the non-resident Indians (NRIs) were lagging behind in the same, he added.
Mr Patel admitted that the immigration was a major issue which Indians faced in the US.
