Addressing the students of the first degree college in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council here today, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said the militants were facing a resource crunch due to the pressure from the Bangladesh government.
Besides stringent administrative action, the development activities in tribal areas had also played a significant role in motivating the misguided indigenous youth to surrender. Therefore, the state had witnessed a huge number of surrenders in the recent months, Mr Sarkar claimed.
