Konkan Railway to run 12 additional Ganpati Special

Mumbai, Aug 23 (UNI) In addition to 54 special trains to Madgaon announced earlier, the Konkan Railway (KR) will run 12 more special trains between Dadar-Madgaon-Dadar, Chhtrapati Shivaji terminus (CSTM)-Madgaon-CSTM, and Surat-Madgaon-Surat.

The special services are being run to clear extra rush of passengers during the forthcoming Ganpati Festival, a KR release stated here today.

According to the release, the 18-coaches (0105A Down) special train will run from CSTM on 13th and 15th September. The train will leave CSTM at 2355 hrs and reach Madgaon at 1400 hrs next day. From Madgaon the train will run on 14th and 16th September. The train will leave from Madgaon at 1430 hrs and reach CSTM at 0420 hrs the next day.

Similarly, (2051A Down) Dadar Jana Shatabadi special service will run from Dadar on 12th September while 2052A will run from Madgaon on 13th September.

The Surat-Madgaon-Surat (0903 Down) special train will run from Surat on 12th, 19th and 25th September. It will leave from Surat at 1835 hrs and reach Madgaon at 1330 hrs next day. The same train in its return journey (0904 Up) will run from Madgaon on 13th, 20th and 26th September. The train will leave Madgaon at 1400 hrs and reach Surat at 0840 hrs on the next day.
