IT raids on 10 Jaipur jewellers

Jaipur, Aug 23 (UNI) The Income Tax department here today is conducting raids on ten city-based jewellers' establishments and residential premises.

D S Chopra, Director (Investigations), told UNI that 16 premises of these jewellers' were being raided, out of which ten of them were being searched and six of them were being surveyed.

Out of the total 16, six of them are residences of renowned jewellers of the city. Raids have been conducted at shops, workshops and outlets.

One of the jeweller's establishment in Mumbai is also under surveillance.

Mr Chopra said the results of the raids would be available by late night or tomorrow morning as the search would continue today.
