Lucknow, Aug 23 (UNI) After a win-win situation following Uttar Pradesh government's order to close down all the retail outlets, Rashtriya Vyapar Mandal president and Samajwadi Party Rajya Sabha member Banwari Lal Kanchal announced that they will continue to agitate till the big companies wrap up their business from the state.

While welcoming the decision of the Mayawati government to scrap the new agriculture policy and closure of the Retail outlets in the state, he said the UP government should not implement Value Added Tax(VAT) regime in the state.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Kanchal, accepting that it was the first win of the traders against the retail chains, said the traders will only accept a stringent law to prevent the entry of the big companies in retail business.

''More than 40 crore people in the country will be affected through these retail chains and now traders are opposing it tooth and nail in every state'', he added.

Refuting the charges, that Samajwadi Party was targetting Reliance Fresh of Mukesh Ambani, the SP MP said they are opposing the entire retail chains and not of any particular group.

Yesterday, Mr Kanchal led a violent protest against the retail chains leading to ransacking of Reliance Fresh and Spencers outlets in Lucknow and Varanasi.
