Emaar to set up hotel, convention centre; to pump in Rs 200 cr

New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) Emaar MGF today said it has signed an agreement with the Uttarakhand government to design, construct and operate/manage a five star hotel and convention centre in Dehradun at an investment of Rs 200 crore over the next two years.

The five star hotel and the convention centre is part of an integrated facility comprising retail and entertainment space spread across 10 acres of land, said a statement.

Emaar MGF has tied up with InterContinental Hotels Group, Singapore (world's largest hotel company in terms of guest rooms) for the management of the hotel and convention centre.

The up-market hotel comprising 200 guest rooms will be managed under the 'Holiday Inn' brand, the statement added.

The state of the art convention facility, with collapsible seating and hi tech projection facilities, will be spread over 35,000 sq ft and accommodate over 1,200 people.
