Congress to launch 8-day cycle rally in Anand

Anand, Aug 23 (UNI) The Gujarat Congress will launch an eight-day cycle rally, ''Sardar Patel Jan Jagran Yatra'', from September 1 beginning from Umreth, 20km from here.

The rally will traverse through seven assembly consitutencies in Anand district after being flagged off by GPCC president Bharat Solanki, Leader of the Opposition Arjun Modhwadia and Union Minister of State for Petroleum Dinsha Patel.

The team of 51 cyclists will be led by Borsad MLA Amitbhai Chavda. The rallyists will ''highlight the achievements of the UPA Government and failures of the Gujarat government''.
