ASSOCHAM condemns UP Govt decision to close corporate retail sto

New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) has condemned the decision of the Uttar Pradesh government for closure of retail stores of various corporates.

The decision of the state government will send adverse signals and might affect the development of the State, it said.

In a statement issued here, ASSOCHAM President Venugopal N Dhoot said that the decision seemed to have been taken in haste and therefore should be reviewed.

Mr Dhoot advised the state administration to immediately annul the decision in the interest of the state and its industrialisation.
