Areva gets Rs 63cr order from Essar Steel

New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) Areva Transmission and Distribution (T&D) India today said it has secured orders worth Rs 63 crore from Essar Steel Ltd.

The project includes design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 220 kV switchyard on turnkey basis and supply of power transformers for Essar's sub-station at Hazira.

The company has also bagged a Rs 33.9 crore order from Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co Ltd (MSETCL) for its first Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) complete turnkey solutions order on Areva T&D India.
