5 of family dead in mishap

Bareilly, Aug 23 (UNI) Five members of a family died, when a house collapsed in Nawabganj here following downpour early this morning.

Police said the mishap occurred at Zubaida-Jaberi village, when the walls of a dwelling caved in, trapping the sleeping family underneath.

Those who succumbed in the debris were identified as Baburam (55), his wife Kalawati (50), sons Veerpal (18), Arvind (3) and daughter Kavita (4).

Later, senior officials rushed to the spot.
