Toyota to roll out small cars in the next 2 yrs

New Delhi, Aug 22: Japan-based Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) today said it will roll out its small cars in India in the next two years with the production slated from India.

''We are exploring and studying what kind of car is good for Indian use. The car will be produced in India but is meant for several countries,'' TMC Chairman of the board Fujio Cho said.

He also mentioned that there are no current plans to set up a new unit in India yet. ''Even if it does come up, it will be around its existing Bangaluru plant,'' Mr Cho said.
