Three died and 15 injured in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 22 (UNI) Three persons were killed and 15 others injured in different road accidents in the Kashmir valley today, official sources said.

Sources said a vehcile hit and critically injured one Shabir Ahmad at Shalteang, about 10 km from here on the Srinagar-Uri highway this morning. He was shifted to hospital where he died later.

In another accident, a vehicle met with an accident at Dooru in south Kashmir causing injuries to three persons, travelling in it.

The injured were admitted to hospital where one Shameema died.

In the third accident, a tipper hit a scooter at Bijbehara in south Kashmir district of Anantnag causing injuries to two scooterists. The injured were shifted to hospital where Bashir Ahmad Khan succumbed to injuries.

Sources said 12 other persons were injured in two different road accidents in the valley overnight. The injured were hospitalised.
