SRMU urges Centre to pay IR of Rs 1000 to railwaymen

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 22 (UNI) Southern Railway Mazdoor Union (SRMU) president Raja Sridhar has urged the Union Government to pay a monthly Interim Relief (IR) of Rs 1,000 to the railwaymen till the implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations.

Addressing the SRMU workers here yesterday, he said the Union was pressing the railway administration and the Centre to fix Rs 11,000 as minimum monthly wage for the last grade employees of Indian Railways.
