MRCU's 33 rd conference in Aurangabad in October

Nashik, Aug 22 (UNI) The 33rd state-level activists conference of Mahrarashtra State Co-operative Union (MRCU), will be held in October in Aurangabad.

The conference of MRCU, an organisation working in the co-operative sector for the last 89 years, will be inaugurated by Union Agriculture Minister, Sharad Pawar.

Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Co-operative Minister Patangrao Kadam, Water Resouces Minister Ajit Pawar, State Finance Minister Jayant Patil, Minister for state in PMO Prithviraj Chauhan will be the chief guest of the function, MRCU Chairman Ashok Jagtap told in a press conference here today.

The conference will discuss various problems such as various co-operative institutions such as sugar factories, co-operative banks, urban co-operative financial institutes. The main aim to find out the solutions for these problems and get Government approval for them.

The conference will also discuss income tax act, service tax act, Non Performing Assets (NPA)) state and and Central Govt policies about the co-operative movements, RBI policy and NABARD policy. It will also hold discussions about the changing economic policies, problems faced by co-operative institutions in the era of globalisation and economic policy and members' partipation in it.

One of the main topic of the discussion will be the model co-operative act accepted by some states but not Maharashtra.

Jagtap appealed to all the activists, employees of the co-operative movements in Nashik district to attend the conference.

MRCU secretary Prakash Bhisikar, Vimal Rangnekar and Dr sanjay Patil were present on the occasion.
