MADC signs agreement with Sical for rail-road terminal
Nagpur, Aug 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Airports Development Company (MADC) has signed an agreement with Singapore-based Sical Logistics for the development of the rail-road terminal that will be a part of the Multi-Modal International Air Passenger and Cargo Hub at Nagpur (MIHAN) project in the city.
The shareholders agreement and approval of business plan was signed by MADC Vice Chairman and Managing Director R C Sinha, Sical Logistics Managing Director S S Rangnekar and Gupta Coal (India) Chairman Padmesh Gupta at the MADC office here today.
The rail-road terminal will be a part of the multi-product special economic zone (SEZ) that is being set up under MIHAN. It will be developed by a company with MADC, Sical Logistics and Gupta Coal holding 26 ,51 and 23 per cent of the equity respectively.
To be constructed over 60 hectares of land, the rail-road terminal will have parking facility for 1,152 multi-axle trucks, besides 14 ware-houses with a capacity of 3,000 to 4,000 tonnes each and a cold storage ware-house of 4,000 tonnes capacity.
