Krishi Swabhiman yojana to regularise increased HP
Mumbai, Aug 22 (UNI) Maharashtra state electricity distribution company has decided to regularise the increased Horse power of the agriculture pumps with payment of penalty for a year.
A release issued by MSEDC said this scheme is named as 'Krishi Swabhiman yojana'2007 and asked the farmers to complete the formalities of regularising their pumps before September 30.
The penalty is Rs 4320 for Bhandup, Pune and Nasik areas, while for other areas it is Rs 3600.
From October 1, the MSEDC will launch the scheme of checking the horse power status of the agriculture pumps.
Meanwhile, in its campaign against power thefts so far, the MSEDC has caught 36,384 power thieves involved in the theft worth 15.55 crore and cases have been registered against 3561 power thieves.
