Japan to take 500 Indian youth every year
New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) Envisioning greater cooperation beteween India and his country, visiting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe today announced Japan would welcome 500 Indian youths every year over the next five years.
Addressing a joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament here, he said that out of the 500, about 100 would be taken for studying Japanese or teaching Japanese.
''This is precisely an investment towards future generations,'' said Mr Abe.
He said his country wanted to deepen friendship with India in diverse fields and its offer to the Indian youth was part of that endeavour.
