Gaganachukki Falls Festival from Aug 25
Bangalore, Aug 22: A two-day 'Gaganachukki Falls Festival', highlighting tourism aspects of surroundings of Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts, will be held from August 25.
Talking to newspersons here, Transport Minister N Cheluvarayaswamy said the tourist flow was increasing daily at the Gaganachukki falls, following heavy rains recently.
Basic infrastructural facilities such as drinking water, hotel accommodation and other facilities were facilitated by spending Rs five crore, he said.
He said a ropeway would be constructed between Gaganachukki and Barachukki falls to facilitate tourists to view both falls within a distance of two kilometres.
Cultural programmes also would be held as part of the festival, he added.
