External Affairs Min to lay foundation of children hospital

Tirupati, Aug 22 (UNI) External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will lay the foundation stone for government children's hospital here on August 25.

According to official sources, Mr Mukherjee, who will arrive on a two-day visit to Tirupati and Tirumala from Chennai by air at 1430 hrs, will proceed to the site to lay the foundation of the hospital.

Later, he will participate in the silver jubilee celebrations of the Sri Padmavathi Womens' Univeristy. The minister will then proceed to Tirumala hills to offer prayers to lord Venkateswara.

After an overnight stay in the seven hills, Mr Mukherjee would take part in the early morning 'suprabhat' seva. He will perform archana and then go to Renigunta airport to leave for New Delhi at around 0730 hrs, the sources added.
