Puducherry, Aug 22 (UNI) The Puducherry Unit of the Communist Party of India-Marxist-Leninist (CPI-ML) today called upon the Left parties to accept the challenges of withdrawing support to the Manmohan Singh government, as it has ''misled'' the country and Parliament on the Indo-US Nuclear deal.

In a statement here today, CPI(ML) Secretary S Balasubramanian urged the Left parties to expose BJP's ''hypocrisy'' which was a major exponent of pro-Americanism.

He alleged that the nuke deal was an attempt to bind India to the highly unequal non-proliferation US sponsored regime, CTBT/NPT through the back door, by barring India from producing ''fissile material'' and imposing ''compliance'' with NPT.

The Indo-US nuclear deal was destined to ''mortgage'' the country's strategic autonomy and international role to the growing Americal control, while India's integration with the US-led ''global war'' would make India and her neighbours increasingly insecure, he said.

After Afghanistan and Iraq, the ''US war machine'' was now heading towards Pakistan, and India had certainly enough reasons to feel alarmed, he noted.
