Celebration in Sibu's Parliamentary area over his acquittal

Dumka, Aug 22 (UNI) Enthused by Delhi High Court decision of acquitting jailed Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief Sibu Soren from Shashi Nath Jha Murder case, the supporters today gathered to see their leader before the Central Jail gate here today.

Mr Soren, facing life term for killing his personal assistant, was shifted to Dumka Central jail on Janauary five after a production warrant was issued by a local Jamtara court.

Hearing an application, Delhi High Court today acquitted the JMM supremo.

Central vice-president and former MP of the party Simen Marandi told UNI over phone that the court verdict was a result of their faith in the judiciary.

'' The court verdict also makes it clear that Mr Soren, who fought for needy and weaker sections, was innocent, '' Mr Marandi said.

He said the state politics would lead to a new direction after Mr Soren's acquittal.
