Brothers kill father, brother, sister-in-law over property

Sultanpur, Aug 22 (UNI) Two brothers allegedly bludgeoned to death their father, their brother and his wife over a property dispute in Shukul Bazar area here today.

Ram Kaushal and his brother Ram Lakhan along with their sons fatally attacked their father Ram Avtar Yadav with batons this morning at Oonch village.

The accused fled after grievously wounding their brother Ram Bahadur and his wife for raising an alarm.

The trio succumbed on the spot, police said.

According to the police, Ram Avtar had disowned his two sons from the property, which allegedly forced them to take the drastic step.

Irated over the incident, a mob led by villagers blocked the Inhauna-Shukul Bazar road, leading to massive traffic jam for a couple of hours.

The agitators also surrounded the police station and could only be pacified after senior officials assured stringent action against the accused.

Meanwhile, three police personnel, including a station officer, were suspended for dereliction of duty.

A manhunt had been launched.
