APDDCF issues notice against KMU for copyright infringement

Vijayawada, Aug 22 (UNI) The legal tussle over the use of brand name 'Vijaya' between the Andhra Pradesh Dairy Development Cooperative Federation (APDDCF) and the Krishna Milk Union (KMU) took a new turn with the former issuing a notice against infringement of copyright.

Addressing a press conference here today, KMU Managing Director T Babu Rao said the Federation had issued a notice to the milk union on July 19 on the grounds of infringement of copyright, especially the use of logo.

The Milk Union filed a petition in Andhra Pradesh High Court on August three in the wake of the Federation filing a caveat to prevent the Union from taking legal recourse.

Mr Rao said the Union also filed a petition in the state cooperative tribunal in this regard.
