A thief pays part of his debt in Kheda

Nadiad, Kheda, Aug 22 (UNI) In a strange case, a thief partly repaid his debt on the night of Aug 19 by showering currency notes through an open window at the Mulesara Milk Co-operative Society office, 15 km from here.

A theft of Rs 1 lakh had occurred some one-and-half months back and while the inquiry was still on, nobody has been accused so far. However, on Aug 19 morning when Abhisinh Fatehsinh Dabhi opened the office to sweep the floor he was taken aback to see currency notes strewn on the floor.

There were 278 hundred, 123 fifty and 842 ten Rupee notes totalling Rs 42,370. The society officials are happy that something has been paid by a thief who seems to have his heart in the right place.

Alina outpost police has taken up the case and is inquiring further in the case.
