50th batch of 125 pilgrims leave for Amarnath

Jammu, Aug 22: The fiftieth batch of 125 pilgrims today left for Pahalgam and Baltal base camps of Shri Amarnath cave shrine of Lord Shiva in South Kashmir, official sources said.

The pilgrims, including 15 women, 33 sadhus and three children, departed from the M A stadium here at 0505 hrs in a fleet of four buses and one light motor vehicle (LMV).

A total of 56,913 pilgrims have left for the holy shrine from the Jammu base camp since July 2, amid tight security arrangements, sources added.
