Ranganatittu bird scantury reopens after deluge

Mysore, Aug 21 (UNI) The famous Ranganatittu bird scantury, which was closed for tourists after it was inundated due to heavy discharge of water from Krishnaraja Sagar reservoir across Cauvery river two weeks ago, was reopened following decrease in flood levels.

Boating services which were cancelled earlier also resumed.

According to forest department officials the outflow of water from K R Sagar had been reduced to just 3900 cusecs following decrease in the rainfall in the catchment areas in Kodagu.
