Nitish condoles demise of Qurratulain Haider

Patna, Aug 21 (UNI) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed sorrow over the death of Padma Bhushan and Jnanpith award winner Urdu litterateur Qurratulain Haider.

Describing her death as an irreparable loss to the world of literature, especially Urdu, Mr Kumar said she was among the chosen few, who had not only given a new dimenson to the fiction and novel writing but also earned recognition for Urdu language across the world.

The eminent writer, undergoing treatment at a hospital in Noida, passed away this morning.
