Karat demands recall of Ronen Sen

Hyderabad, Aug 21: Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Prakash Karat today demanded the recall of Indian Ambassador to the US, Ronen Sen, for his reported remarks about the opponents of the nuclear deal.

Strongly condemning Mr Sen's reported remark describing all those opposing the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal as 'headless chicken,' he told mediapersons here, ''Mr Sen is behaving as an Ambassador of US President George W Bush and not that of India.''

"The Government should immediately call back the Ambassador," he maintained.
