CM inaugurates three-storey car parking in Shimla
Shimla, Aug 21 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today dedicated the three-storey car parking, constructed at the cost of Rs 1.75 crore by the HP Tourism Development Corporation in this torist town.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said more parking slots were being added to the existing parking places in the capital town to accommodate the safe parking of the vehicles.
He said with the increase in the volume of the vehicles urgent need had emerged to create more parking areas in the town.
Mr Singh said the heritage and core zone of the town was being protected with a view to preserve the glory of the capital town and all the new constructions had been banned completely.
No construction activities were being permitted in the green area, which was being preserved and increased to conserve the ecology of the town, he added.
