CGHS employees commence 75-hour hunger strike
New Delhi, Aug 21 (UNI) As part of the next phase of their agitation, Central Government Health Scheme Employees (CGHS) today commenced their 75-hour hunger strike to press for their demands which include implementation of ACP scheme with proper pay scale.
As many as 40 CGHS Employees from 20 cities are part of the agitation at Jantar Mantar, CGHS Employees' Association President Ramkishan said.
The agitating employees are demanding that all 1200 vacant posts be filled and compassionate appointment be made immediately besides implementation of ACP scheme with proper pay scale.
''These are our long-pending demands... the Health Ministry is not even talking to the Employees Association for an amicable settlement... In these circumstances we have no other option but to continue,'' he said.
