Business Advisory Committee report tabled in J&K Assembly

Srinagar, Aug 21 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Law and Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Hamid Karra presented the 18th report of the Business Advisory Committee of the tenth Legislative Assembly in the Lower House today.

Referring to the report, Leader of the Opposition Abdul Rahim Rather said for the current session more than 300 questions have been listed.

He also sought extension in the ongoing Assembly session.

Supporting Mr Rather, National Conference members Ali Mohammad Sagar and Ajay Sadhotra said due to short duration of the ongoing session, the members would be unable to project the issues of public importance and demanded for extension of the calendar.

The House passed the report with a voice vote. Deputy Speaker Mohammad Akbar Lone later adjourned the House till tomorrow.
