Bullets, mobile phones and cash recovered from Sub Jail

Hubli, August 21 (UNI) The city police have recovered seven bullets, eight mobile phones, porno literature and cash from inmates of the Sub jail here last night.

Acting on a tip off, police raided the jail and seized several goods and a cash of over Rs 50,000 from the inmates including rowdy element from Shimoga, Manjunath alias Hebbettu Manja.

Commissioner of police N R Nadamani told newsmen here that police also recovered a pass book of SBI Rajaji Nagar branch of Bangalore and some blank cheques of ICICI bank signed by one Irfan Javed. The majority of items recovered belonged to the rowdy, he added.
